Hannah Morini, wind power specialist from Alteris Renewables, will introduce the basics of community scale wind power, and discuss wind turbine construction, government incentives, regulations and other topics. Join us as ecologist and nature photographer Brooks Mathewson shows slides and discusses the birds of Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge. Brooks holds Master's Degrees from Harvard in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Biology, and in Forest Science. His photography has been displayed widely. Thursday, September 30, 7 PM, at Peace Dale Library--Filmmaker Carla Ricci with Carolina: The Smallest of the Small. Join us for a showing of this film about Carolina, Rhode Island. From the film's website: "Carolina, RI, has a big story. As mill towns go, it may be the smallest of the small but this film makes the case that it may be one of the best." Pawtucket Red Sox Library Pass available at the Peace Dale Library. One pass per game; first come, first served.
