Zoning Amendment - Health Care Institutions in GI Zoning Districts

The South County Hospital has submitted an application for a Zoning Text Amendment that was received by the Planning Department on September 13, 2021.  Within this submission the applicant states "Pursuant to South Kingstown Zoning Ordinance Section 603.2(C), SCH [South County Hospital] is required to submit a 'Strategic Master Plan' to the Town every five years.  The purpose of the proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment is to streamline and simplify SCH's filing requirements..."

Current Status:Discussion on the advisory to the Town Council for these amendments is scheduled to continue at the February 22, 2022 Planning Board Regular Session.  Upon completion of this review, an Advisory Opinion will be issued to the Town Council for consideration during a Public Hearing at a future Town Council meeting.
