The Community Resource Division within the South Kingstown Police Department is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and enacting initiatives and events to promote positive interactions between the police department and the community. The Community Resource Division oversees the following programs and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

•    Mental health services

•    Elderly affairs 

•    Department social media accounts

•    Seasonal Bicycle Patrol Unit

•    Citizens Police Academy (in development)

•    Community Service Officer program (in development)

•    Coordination of Community Events and Community Outreach programs

•    Overall quality of life concerns

The Community Resource Division coordinates directly with the Deputy Chief of Police and the Patrol Division to maintain the highest standard of public service to meet the needs of our community.
