The central space of the Center is the Lobby/Atrium. This space serves to connect the five primary function areas of the building. It is the main Greeting/Reception Area. The space has a large central skylight and clerestory windows on every wall. This space is designed to have a very open outdoor feel. This 5-sided room is surrounded on 3 sides by a trellis structure to provide opportunity for seasonal planting displays. The main focal point of the Lobby/Atrium is the fireplace. This granite fireplace is a gas fired see through fireplace. Above the firebox is an arched opening that serves as a display area. The opening primarily serves as a visual access between the Lobby and the Multipurpose space on the west side of the building. The fireplace is 22 feet high and 9 feet wide.
