Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Information Technology (IT) Department is to provide all Town Departments with technological assistance, uniformity, and control in the analysis, design, development, and functionality of all technology related projects and computer system services.

The IT Department has duties which include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide oversight and project management for any Town project involving technology
  • Maintain the hardware and software needs for all Town locations
  • Create a standards based database environment while increasing the productivity and functionality for Town and School staff to service our constituency
  • Establish traditional audit trails and controls
  • Assist in the training and orientation of technology users
  • Adapt to changing technologies / Adopt new and emerging technologies
  • Empower Town staff to embrace and utilize technology

Accomplishments for Fiscal Year 2020

  • Windows 10 updates (multi-year project)
  • Server upgrades
  • Migrate email to the cloud
  • Upgrade Tax Appraisal system and migrate to the cloud
  • Replacement of Police fingerprinting machine

Goals & Objectives for Fiscal Year 2021

  • Install a new phone system for most Town departments
  • Replacement of voice recording system
  • Police mobile upgrades
