SPECIAL ELECTION FOR SCHOOL FACILITIES BOND
A SPECIAL ELECTION will be held on TUESDAY, May 4, 2021 to vote on authorizing $85 million in bonds to finance the Town of South Kingstown’s School Facilities Plan that has been submitted to the RI Department of Education.
Voting will take place at the following locations on Tuesday, May 4, 2021:
South Kingstown High School Cafeteria, 215 Columbia Street, Wakefield (School Street entrance)
West Kingston Elementary School, 3119 Ministerial Road, West Kingston
Matunuck Elementary School, 380 Matunuck Beach Road, Wakefield
Voters may cast their ballot at any of the polling locations. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM. Identification is required; please wear a mask to protect yourself and others.
The deadline to register to vote for this election was Sunday, April 4th at 4 PM.
The deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Tuesday, April 13th at 4 PM. Applications are available here, or in the Town Clerk’s outdoor forms box at Town Hall. Completed applications can be placed in the drop box or mailed to the Board of Canvassers, 180 High Street, Wakefield, RI 02879.
Emergency in-person voting begins on Wednesday, April 14th from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and continues weekdays through Monday, May 3rd at 4 PM in the Communications Building at Town Hall. Identification is required; please wear a mask to protect yourself and others.
