"What is Your Favorite Book?" Summer 2007 Survey Results

 

Through the generosity of the Friends of the Peace Dale Library, the following was made possible over the last two years:

 

* 18 children's Summer Reading Program activities including storytellers, singers, and demonstrations.

 

* 10 special programs focusing on local history and slavery in Rhode Island.

 

* 4 adult programs spanning topics ranging from creative writing to the Revolutionary War era.

 

* New library materials, including DVD's, large print books, music CD's, puzzles, audio books, young adult novels, big books and board books.

 

* New equipment, including book trucks, meeting room sound system, a digital camera, shelving, a CD player, typewriter, browsing baskets, and support toward the purchase of a photocopy machine.

 

* Subscriptions to museums (for museum passes).

 

* Refreshments and supplies for children's programs.

 

* Redesign of South Kingstown Public Library's Web site.
