Suggestions for reading to your child

Begin as soon as your child is born. Select a special time for you and your child. Share books when you and your child are in a relaxed mood.

Find a comfortable spot for you and your child. Hold the book so your child can see the pages clearly.

Turn off the TV, radio and stereo. Read with expression.

Be enthusiastic about books. Be a role model for your child - let your child see you reading.
