The Prosecution Division of the South Kingstown Police Department is responsible for presenting criminal cases before the appropriate courts, the Department of Attorney General, or referral to other agencies. The Prosecution Division represents the department in court for arraignments, felony screenings, grand jury presentations, warrant production, witness notification, and court scheduling. The Division also conducts follow-up investigations and assists the Department of Probation and Parole and the Department of Attorney General in monitoring probationers, parolees, and defendants serving suspended sentences. The Division coordinates with the Training Division to provide updates at the department's in-service training programs. The Division works closely with victims to ensure all available services are afforded.
