OLD TOWER HILL ROAD NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN - CHARRETTE PLANNING PROCESS
The Town of South Kingstown will be hosting a series of interactive public meetings from March 21-28, 2024, to discuss and create a vision for the future of Old Tower Hill Road and the surrounding area.
This project will involve the entire community in a process that will focus on helping the Town maximize its potential. The Town will host an interactive design process that will include charrettes, workshops, and community gatherings to educate the public on the study area and best practices in zoning and land use code reform and gather public preferences and input. It is hoped that well designed revisions to the Town’s Zoning Ordinance will foster predictable improvements compatible with the existing historic context and aligned with community expectations. Public Design Charrette Involvement:
March 21: Public Kick-off and Hands-on Design Session: 6pm - 8pm
- Join us for an informative presentation on town planning and community visioning. Following the presentation, work alongside your neighbors to draw your vision for the future of the Old Tower Hill Road Neighborhood Plan! This is a family-friendly event - bring your children!
March 22 (Friday), March 25, 26, and 27 (Monday-Wednesday): Open Design Studio: 9am to 6pm
- Stop by the studio during the day to talk with the design team and provide input as the plan evolves. This will be a unique opportunity to provide feedback as the initial plan ideas are being developed.
March 28: Work-in-Progress Presentation: 6pm
- See all of the work completed during the charrette week at the “Work-in-Progress” presentation.
