Please be advised that due to extremely high surf and rip currents, South Kingstown Town Beach will be closed starting at 9:00 PM, Wednesday, August 20th through noon on Friday, August 22nd, with possibility of remaining closed until Saturday, August 23rd depending on surf conditions . All parking lots will be closed during this time.
There will be no life guards on duty, and the public is strongly urged to stay away from the water and avoid the heavy surf conditions for their own safety.
