For decades, thousands of communities across the country have been using Main Street America's approach to nurture vibrant traditional commercial districts with great success - tracking over $100 billion in reinvestment in participating districts since 1980. Rhode Islanders will now have a chance to learn about this program for ourselves through a new initiative from Grow Smart RI.
Join us for a presentation from Jillian Finkle, Grow Smart RI's Deputy Director and the Director of Main Street RI, who will provide an overview of Main Street America's approach and explain the possible opportunities for South Kingstown residents to participate in the new "Main Street RI" program that's starting up in Rhode Island.
