Based upon the forecast of heavy snowfall, a PARKING BAN will be in effect for all of South Kingstown starting at midnight tonight until further notice.
The Town is asking motorists to avoid travelling on its roadways during and after the storm until roads are cleared of snow. Highway Division staff and equipment are prepped to handle the snow event when it arrives and we will be pretreating roads with a salt mixture in advance of the storm. We also remind property owners that abut a sidewalk, that they are responsible to clear the sidewalk of snow within 12 hours after cessation of the snow event.
The Rose Hill Regional Transfer Station will be closed to all residential and commercial users on Friday, January 7, 2022. We anticipate the facility will reopen for normal business hours on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
