Please be advised that the Public Hearing for the Matunuck Beach Condominiums Preliminary Plan with the Planning Board scheduled for this evening (March 24th, 2022 at 7pm) will not be heard and said application will be rescheduled to a future date. NO DISCUSSION WILL TAKE PLACE THIS EVENING AND NO TESTIMONY (EITHER MADE BY THE APPLICANT OR OFFERED BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC) WILL BE TAKEN.
It was verified this morning that some of the requisite abutter notices that were to be sent Certified Mail by the applicant were not made appropriately, therefore the notice is faulty and the Public Hearing tonight cannot be held. Planning Staff and a quorum of Planning Board members will be in attendance at Town Hall this evening to formally open the scheduled meeting at 7pm to reschedule said hearing to a future date and adjourn. Again, no discussion or testimony on this application will be taken from the applicant’s project team, planning staff, or comments from the public. At this time we have not determined a future date for this meeting.
Planning Staff is making every attempt (on very short notice) to reach and advise as many members of the public as we can in regard to this continuance to limit any inconveniences to those that planned to attend. IF YOU HAVE PERSONAL CONTACTS WITH ANY NEIGHBORS OR OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC INTERESTED IN THE MATUNUCK BEACH ROAD CONDOMINIUMS PROJECT, PLANNING STAFF RESPECTFULLY ASKS FOR YOUR HELP IN GETTING THE WORD OUT TO LET THEM KNOW THE HEARING WILL NOT OCCUR THIS EVENING.
