The Rhode Island Department of Transportation will be performing roadway repair along Route 2. Proposed work includes micromilling, leveling, drainage adjustment, pavement resurfacing, and pavement markings. The project extends through the communities of South Kingstown, Richmond, Exeter and North Kingstown as noted:
- South County Trail (Route 2) from Route 102 to the Pawcatuck River. Construction to begin the week of 7/18/2022 and will continue for the remainder of the construction season (December 15th).
RIDOT expects no road closures and two-way traffic will be maintained. Any delays are expected to be minimal.
