COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
Date: April 30, 2025
The Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce a major infrastructure upgrade project at Old Mountain Field set to begin in May 2025. This significant investment in our beloved community space will modernize facilities and enhance the park experience for all visitors. It is the first phase of the newly developed Park Master Plan for Old Mountain Field (Beta Group Inc), and it involves the construction of a new restroom and concession building; along with new, ADA accessible seating for the baseball field, improvements to the parking area, along with other enhancements. This $3.9 million dollar project is funded through a combination of Town Capital Improvement funds, American Rescue Plan Act funding, and Fair Share Development Fees. The Parks and Recreation Department is deeply grateful for the Town Council's and Recreation Commission's commitment to this project, and their recognition of Old Mountain Field as an invaluable and historic community asset.
