Check out the newly renovated Free Library at the Rose Hill Regional Transfer Station! Two young volunteers recently completed service projects to update the beloved Free Library.
Exeter-West Greenwich High School Senior Summer Blair spent over 40 hours at the library, painting the door, deep cleaning, purging damaged books, and categorizing and arranging books.
Boy Scout Paul Williams and Troop 44 Matunuck raised over $1500 to purchase a solar panel and LED lighting for the building. They also spent a Saturday cleaning, installing new shelving and signage, and reorganizing books. With their funds they were also able to add landscaping to the front of the building.
The Free Library is a valuable resource to the community, and we are grateful for these volunteers’ efforts in renovating and beautifying it. Thank you Summer, Paul, and Troop 44 Matunuck!
