South Kingstown Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce the completion of the Broad Rock Tennis Court replacement project, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act.
The $290,000 project included:
Full reclamation and repaving of the asphalt surface
Installation of new posts and nets
Painting and lining of the courts, featuring a signature “South Kingstown” blue surface
Originally constructed in 2001, the courts have supported both community use and the school athletics program for more than two decades. They are maintained by the Parks & Recreation Department as part of the Broad Rock School and Play Fields campus.
Special thanks go to the South Kingstown Recreation Commission and Town Council for their support; and to Deputy Director/Park Superintendent Rex Eberly for managing the project, as well as to the project contractor, Beausoleil & Sons, for delivering such outstanding results.
We look forward to welcoming residents and student athletes back to this newly refurbished facility and seeing it continue to serve the community for many years to come.
