CDBG Housing Rehab Program

Due to a recent loss of third-party administrative support, the Town of South Kingstown is not presently participating in the CDBG Housing Rehab Program. The Town is evaluating new options for program administration.  New developments will be posted to this page.

About the Program

The Housing Rehabilitation Set Aside Program is a rolling grant program administered through the town and the State Office of Housing & Community Development that provides funding for income-eligible residents of South Kingstown to fix health and safety concerns in their current homes. As part of this program the Town works with homeowners to help them define the scope of work for necessary improvements to homes and supervises the process of completing the improvements using qualified contractors.

Low- and Moderate-Income Qualifications

To be eligible to receive funding households must earn at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. The Area Median Income changes annually. To view the Department of Housing and Urban Development income guidelines click here
